The fully automatic lift-and-catch egg-collecting machine is an intelligent egg-collection device specifically designed for modern H-shaped tiered chicken cages, with its core function being the replacement of traditional manual egg-picking operations through mechanical automation. The equipment features a modular design, with a main frame constructed from high-strength aluminum alloy to accommodate H-shaped cage systems of varying layer heights. During operation, a rail-guided lifting mechanism enables vertical movement between cage levels, while the lifting platform is equipped with a precision servo-motor drive system that automatically adjusts the operating height based on the actual number of cage tiers—typically 3 to 8—ensuring precise alignment with the egg-collection belt on each level.
The flexible egg-picking system configured at the front end of the equipment is its key technological highlight. This system employs elastic egg-picking grippers made from food-grade silicone, with each set comprising 6 to 8 independent units, each equipped with a pressure-sensing device. When the gripper contacts an egg, the pressure sensor continuously monitors the contact force and, via an intelligent algorithm, automatically adjusts the gripping force—ensuring secure capture while preventing shell breakage caused by excessive pressure. For eggs of special sizes or shapes, the equipment also offers an optional sponge-roller-type egg-picking module. This module uses high-speed rotating sponge rollers to generate gentle friction, allowing the eggs to naturally disengage from the collection belt as they roll—making it particularly suitable for collecting fragile eggs such as newly laid ones.
In terms of the control system, the equipment is equipped with an industrial-grade PLC controller, allowing operators to set the lifting speed (adjustable between 0.1 and 0.5 m/s) and the inter-floor dwell time (adjustable between 5 and 30 seconds) via a touch screen. These parameters can be optimally configured based on actual operating conditions, such as the egg-laying pattern of the flock and the conveyor belt’s egg-collection speed. For example, during peak laying periods, the inter-floor dwell time can be appropriately shortened to enhance collection efficiency, while at night, when egg production is lower, the lifting speed can be reduced to minimize energy consumption. The equipment is also fitted with photoelectric sensors that automatically detect the distribution density of eggs on the collection belt; if a particular floor has fewer eggs, the system will automatically skip that level and continue operation, further improving overall operational efficiency.
Thanks to this intelligent design, the fully automated, lift-and-lower egg-collection machine can operate continuously around the clock with no human intervention. According to field test data, a single unit can process more than 20,000 eggs per day—more than three times the efficiency of traditional manual egg collection—while keeping the egg-breakage rate below 0.5%. This equipment is particularly well suited for large-scale layer farms, effectively addressing the high labor intensity, low efficiency, and high breakage rates associated with manual egg collection, thereby providing critical technological support for the modernization of the layer industry.
